Let me start by saying that I loved Ali's layered templates over at Designer Digitals, but I wanted my WITL album to be 6x8 instead of 8.5x11. To fix my dilemma, I created my own template using my own handwriting for the days of the week and changing the look of the "this is our life" sentiment just a bit. I also kept the photos at a square instead of giving them an incline. Doing this seemed to fit the orientation of my photos a little better.
I used my iPhone to take every single photo for this round of week in the life. Doing so made it much easier to stay up with the project. My plan is to have the above photos printed just as they are onto a 12x8 photo from Costco. Two days will go on each 12x8 so I can cut them apart to suit my 6x8 album. Now I'll get to placing the daily photos into some collage pages to go along with each day. I'll share those here on the blog when I'm finished with those.
I'm still so glad that I buckled down and just played along. It wasn't easy getting our life captured with me working full time away from my husband and my kids, but I wanted to capture our life right now and all the crazy that is happening for us with our busy schedules.
