Jordan had to work on Saturday, and he didn't get home until after 9:00pm, so no pictures of him today. He's a tricky one to photograph, but I've mentioned that before. Today the children and I enjoyed not having to be anywhere. We cleaned, we played, we visited Nana for a bit, and then we played at home, and cleaned some more. I was in need of a sugar fix, so the highlight of my day was making a batch of oatmeal cookie dough to nibble on, with no intention of baking the actual cookies.
We are terrible. Liliane was my little helper while we made our treat. Wesley fell asleep at 4:00 and didn't wake up until after 7:30pm. Needless to say, he was up late on Saturday night. I even had a bit of time for some scrapbooking and played catch-up with my project life book. I made broccoli cheese and rice for dinner (my favorite casserole of all time) and ate it alone with the kids thanks to Jordan working late. (His dad paid for his dinner, so he didn't go hungry.) It was a relaxing Saturday. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have Jordan by our side all day. He works so hard and I am very grateful for his sacrifice for us.
