School is back in session after a short three-week summer vacation. Getting out the door Monday morning was pretty stress free, until I realized that we needed to follow through with tradition and take some photos to mark and remember the special day. I was in a bit of a hurry that I didn’t set my camera settings to reflect the outdoor conditions, so I ended up with some over-exposed images. Thankfully the photos weren’t a complete bust - I had to change them to black and white to save them but it was nothing a little tweaking in Lightroom couldn’t fix.
Enough on the photos. Look at these beautiful humans.
It will never get easier, their getting older. I have to pinch myself back to reality that they are not so ‘little’ anymore. I have a 1st grader and a 2nd grader, and it’s just plain weird… Weird to think they’ve been a part of my life for this long already… Weird to think that they’re learning to read and building educational foundations in preparation for the rest of their lives. It’s crazy and wild, but being a mom with a front row seat to it all is also pretty dang wonderful, too.
These two starting school was the last ‘big’ thing on my list before my due date approaches. Now that they’re back in school, its just a waiting game to see when my next little munchkin decides to join this Gray clan. Here’s to a good start to a wonderful school year, and to having patience as I wait for our new baby’s arrival.
