I've said it a million times, and I'll say it again: I love this girl. I love the joy she's brought into our lives. I don't think theres ever been a sweeter rainbow after a storm. We longed for her arrival, and many tears were shed in waiting for her to join our family, and ever since she came, our lives have been changed for the better.
We kept things simple for her birthday, spending time in the morning to make her 'smash' cake which she dove into after dinner. She wasn't keen on the jam layer, but the rest was pretty great. She didn't mind that Liliane and Wesley jumped in on the fun, either!
In the morning in between making cake we took lots of pictures with balloons. In my mind's eye the balloon photoshoot turned out cooler than in real life (darn these blasted rental house taupe/peach-colored walls!), but I'm sure she didn't mind one bit. She just loved playing in the balloon pit! Magnolia is such a delight to have in our home. Here's to lots more birthdays that we get to celebrate in her honor, and may the next year be just as joy-filled as the first!
