Confession: I am a coat fanatic. I guess you could call it my nod to Utah winters. The cold weather hits and I'm happily prepared. Maybe it is the fact that winters around here can be pretty miserable. Sometimes they last from October to April, which is just plain rude . When winter decides to stay around, I'm always uplifted by the chance to pull out my collection of coats.
I think it boils down to the fact that I just love layers. Layering is the name of the game if you want to survive the frigid cold, and coats and jackets are a great way to top off any layer combination. Coats are a necessity in this climate and I firmly believe you can't have too many. Thankfully so, when Sammy Dress contacted me about becoming part of their "I Try" program and allowed me to choose anything from their website, I just had to pick another outerwear piece to add to my collection.
Seeing as I didn't already have a military styled winter coat, I went with this one to diversify my collection. When it arrived I could hardly wait to wear it. I ordered a size Medium, and happily it fit well. My only trouble is that I have strangley long arms and because of this the sleeves hit a little higher on my wrist than I like. This didn't stop me from wearing the jacket though. The material is a little on the lighter-weight side, so it'd be a great coat for late fall or those slightly warmer winter days. Overall, I love it and I'm sure it will give me plenty of mileage this season!
